Graduation

So, as one parent pointed out to me tonight... I graduated my first class tonight. How do I feel?
Tired, mostly. But that's from staying up till 3am the last few nights in order to have honor roll assignments done for tonight and tomorrow.
Crazy as it probably seems to those who weren't in the classroom day-in and day-out with these kids, I'm going to miss them. #10 is outgoing and cheerful, (most of the time), and incredibly creative. #11 was one of my problem children, but to everyone else, she's kind and caring.. and sometimes I got to see that part of her too. #12: our Valedictorian. She's quiet, athletic, intelligent, ... she will go far. I hope I get to hear about some of it. #13 is one of the steadiest teenagers I've ever met. He's got his share of craziness, but he's very mature, thoughtful, and responsible. #14 couldn't decide whether she was a problem child or role-model for the class. On her good days, she was helpful, focused, witty, cheerful, fun to be around. I LOVE seeing her smile. On her bad days, well.. she's a teenager. Insert stereotype here. :) #16 (I know, no 15... he withdrew at the beginning of the year) is another quiet, steady, hard-working student. I got to know her a little better than some of the others, because she was very conscientious about making up missed work, even if it meant coming in after school. #17: our Salutatorian. Outgoing, athletic, smart, focused, sweet, caring, helpful. She reminds me a bit of Catssi. Another one who'll go far. Finally, #18. New guy in town, had his share of troubles with the class, but always intent on his academics, with attention to detail, wanting to make sure he had things exactly as they should be. He's got a long journey ahead of him (literally - high school in a different state!), and I wish him well.

As for me... tonight I think I'll head to bed "early" (before 11!), and figure out attendance awards in the morning.
Goodnight, world.

meh

nothing in my life seems interesting enough to blog about. I'm not interested in net-whining. I'm too tired to think up something intereresting. Sorry.
